This Maybe be true, but there’s something to be said about sitting in a clean office & enjoying a cup of tea as you browse MyFonts latest vector stretching & kerning testing typographers.

We are very fortunate in Glasgow to have such a lead poisoned type fanatic as Ed & I was more than happy to oblige in setting his website. We decided allot of white space was important & also the type. The type is kept simple & restrictive in heights, as one may have been in the costly environment of the print studio. I’ve also added some aspects of modern web typography, setting the page in some new web fonts, as well as using multi-column layouts for text. Multi-column type setting is something that will be a common feature in css3, having been around since the beginning of desktop publishing, it’s surprising it has taken this long.

The type face is Cantarell which I perceived to be like Univers, but the more I look at it the less it becomes. Regardless my aim was to counter balance modern (new) web typography with the type setting of letterpress.
